CONSIGNOR INFORMATION
  1. Blum's Auction Service reserves the right to accept or reject any item for sale on the Bid Board.
  2. The base commission rate for Bid Board consignment items is 25% per item with a minimum of $2.00 per item ($2.00 minimum commission also applies to each item that does not sell and will be clerked as no bid or no sale items at $2.00 for every item that does not sell) plus: All box lots excluding sports cards and comics will carry an additional $5.00 charge
  3. All items must be either packaged by the consignor per Blum's Auction specifications or packaged by Blum's Auction for $1.00 per item. Any consignor packaged item not meeting the packaging requirement is subject to a 75 cent repackage charge. Bid board cards are available at the desk at a cost of .05 ea or 250 for $10.00.
  4. Consignor has 10 days from the sale date to remove no sale items or they will be considered abandoned and disposed of. Any large or floor standing no sale items not picked up within 10 days will be assessed an extra disposal charge.
  5. Blum's Auction requires that any gas or electric powered item is in good working order and is guaranteed by consignor. If any item is found to be in unusable or non working condition, it will be returned to the auction house for removal by the consignor and must be picked up within 10 days of phone notification. Any items not picked up within the time allotted will be disposed of and a disposal fee will be charged. (BLUM'S Auction gives any buyer 24 hrs after pickup to try the item. If any item does not work buyer can return it for a full refund ) Items include but are not limited to: TV's, stereos, washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, DVD & VCR players & recorders, radios (unless antique), exercise equipment, lawn mowers, snow blowers, and any item marked "works."
  6. Blum's Auction is in no way liable for loss of merchandise due to fire, theft, loss or damage.
  7. The consignor may establish minimum opening bid (reserves) on individual items, but that minimum bid is subject to the standard commission rate. If the reserved item does not sell, the standard rate is still charged with a maximum charge of $10.00 for each reserved item. Minimum bids may only be established prior to posting on the Bid Board. Once posted on the Bid Board no minimum may be added nor may any reserve be lowered without authorization of Blum's Auction. Only 1 reserve item will be accepted to every 15 non reserved items.
  8. Consigners are not allowed by PA state law to bid on their own items.
  9. Although Blum's Auction Service makes every attempt to post all your items on the next Bid Board we make no guarantee to when items will be posted. Blum's Auction will return, upon request, any item belonging to the consignor, prior to posting, without cost or penalty. Once an item is posted on the Bid Board it may not be removed from the bidding process.
  10. Payment for Bid Board items, unless otherwise posted, is made the third week after the close of the Bid Board. Consignors may pick up their payment at Blum's Auction's Bid Board location on Fri 12-8, Sat 11-8 or Sun 11-5 of that weekend. Any payment not picked up during those hours will be mailed to the consignor the following week.
  11. Consignor warrants that the items consigned for sale on the Bid Board are free and clear of any liens or encumbrances and they have complete title and right to sell, whereby waiving Blum's Auctions from any legal actions that may arise.
  12. Terms and conditions are subject to change. All changes will be posted at auction facility for 60 days from date of change. This contract may be revoked at any time at the discretion of Blum's management.

BLUM'S BIDBOARD CONSIGNOR GUIDELINES AND TIPS
General guideline: If items don't make a collector guide dedicated to the item you wish to sell chances are they will not be suitable for the bid board.
  1. No Avon collectibles (exceptions: Steins, Ltd. Edition Porcelain Figurines)
  2. No home ceramic items.
  3. No contemporary knick knacks.
  4. No glassware, porcelain or pottery with damage.
  5. No non working contemporary electronics or household appliances.
  6. Collector plates are subject to individual acceptance or rejection when presented for consignment.
  7. NO clear glassware, mugs, mismatched china, damaged or repaired items, certain kitchen utensils and appliances, unsigned milk glass, certain clothing items and unclean, stained & dirty items.
  8. No items with offensive odors. (Including furniture, linens, clothing etc…)
  9. No toys, Action Figures or Comic Character collectibles 1995 or newer unless MIP.
  10. Sports cards consigned individually or as a lot must catalog for at least $25.00 based on Becketts or Tuff Stuff price guides.
  11. Comic books consigned individually or as a lot must catalog for at least $25.00 based on Overstreets Comic price guide.
  12. No household items.
  13. No used furniture that is stained, torn, showing considerable wear, broken or just worn out.
  14. No x-rated items. Risqué items are subject to approval.
  15. No stuffed animals or plush toys (exception: named collectibles such as Steiff, Boyd's, etc.)
  16. All floor standing items are subject to approval upon delivery. If you are not sure and don't want to haul your item back home, bring in or email us a picture of your item for pre-approval.
  17. No box lots larger than a banana box will be accepted.
  18. All box lots measuring more than 12" x 18" and containing "mixed Household" or "misc. items" are subject to a $5.00 surcharge.
  19. Nothing worth less than $3.00 (note: if you bought it at the dollar store last month it is only worth a dollar- do not think it will sell here!!!)
Most items are not checked at the time they are dropped off with us. Normally unacceptable items are screened at the time they are sorted. Those items deemed unsuitable will be set aside and returned to the consignor at our earliest possible convenience. Once notified by us, the consignor has 10 days to pick up their merchandise or Blum's Auction will consider the items abandoned, dispose of them as we see fit and a disposal fee will be charged.

It is important to emphasize that this is not totally inclusive of what is and is not acceptable for consignment on the Bid Board. Ultimately Blum's Auction reserves the right to reject any item we deem unsaleable or hazardous.

Hopefully this information will help you in screening your merchandise for acceptance on the bid board. Please keep in mind that all rules have exceptions and if you feel your item should be an exception, please talk with us.

ANY ITEMS NOT MEETING THIS CRITERIA WILL BE RETURNED TO THE CONSIGNOR!!!

BLUM'S AUCTION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY ITEM THAT WE DEEM UNSALEABLE OR HAZARDOUS
